Krishna Premarupa Dasa was born on February 3rd, 1977 in Zurich, Switzerland. After traveling in Asia he came in contact with Buddhism and developed a desire to become a monk. But it was Srila Prabhupada`s Bhagavad Gita which brought him later to Gaudiya Vaishnavism and made him join ISKCON Zurich in 2001. After living for one year in Orissa, India, where he received initiation from H.H. Bhakti Svarupa Damodara Swami, he came back to Switzerland and, trained as a professional chef, soon served as the headcook. After second initiation in 2004 he started to serve as Pujari and as Bhakta leader. Beside giving cooking classes, organizing pilgrimages to India and Japa Retreats, he is until today, involved in various Interfaith programms. In 2007 he became the Temple President of ISKCON Zurich and in October 2011 he was appointed as the RGB-Secretary for Switzerland-Liechtenstein.
