Bring River Yamuna back to Vraj – Vrindavan Campaign

The Euro RGB recommends that Madayanti dasi be appointed as an international contact for the Bring River Yamuna back to Vraj – Vrindavan Campaign. The Euro RGB supports the efforts of the campaign and recommends that all European ISKCON centers actively promote this campaign by doing the following:
Addressing and emphasizing the spiritual importance of Yamuna Devi:

  • By including Yamuna Maharani in daily prayers.
  • By lectures and discourses emphasizing the spiritual significance of Yamuna Maharani.
  • By organizing special kirtans or dedicating existing ones to the cause.

Creating effective campaigns:

  • By Involving the Ministry of Communication in creating a campaign
  • By using internal media (Back to Godhead etc.) and external media (newspapers, television, etc.) This has to be carried out across Europe simultaneously so that a larger picture emerges and sends a strong signal of the numbers and quality of people who want the river Yamuna back in Vrindavana. Signature campaigns, internal media, external media, Internet, are special programs should be used.
  • By organizing public events where awareness is spread in various ways such as pamphlet distribution, booths, signature stalls, public announcements, etc.

Create bulk signature campaigns:

  • By placing the link for the Yamuna petition on all ISKCON Web sites. The sites can reach out to their members and users.
  • By organizing a collection of signatures on different occasions and in all temples.
  • By listing forthcoming events (Ratha-yatras, festivals, etc.) and including presentations on this issue in them.
  • Disseminate awareness via social media as Facebook, Twitter, e-mails.

  • By expressing concern to the Indian Embassies in the most suitable way.

Euro RGB Legal Entity in Brussels

Mahaprabhu dasa, on behalf of a newly created committee, will draft a paper regarding the establishment of a legal entity for serving the purposes of ISKCON Communication and Training Office Grant office. The Euro RGB must approve the proposal. The Euro RGB will decide on its relationship with such a legal entity in due course. The committee to work on this proposal will be: Hridaya Caitanya dasa , Mahaprabhu dasa, Malati dasi, and Praghosa dasa.

A devotee initiated by an ISKCON Guru must be an ISKCON devotee

We would like to remind those gurus initiating disciples in Europe to communicate to their future disciples the following law ( from the ISKCON Law book:
All new initiates must take the following vows at the time of initiation:

  • To chant a minimum of sixteen rounds daily without fail.
  • To strictly follow the four regulative principles: no meat-eating, no illicit sex, no intoxication, no gambling.
  • To accept the order of the spiritual master as one’s life and soul.
  • To accept discipleship into the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya-sampradaya through the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON and to remain faithful to its orders and teachings.
  • To remain faithful to Srila Prabhupada’s orders by maintaining loyalty to ISKCON and its ultimate managing authority, the GBC.

Succession: Training Future Leaders

Bhaktivedanta College (Radhadesh) can offer nine months of VTE education for all future European leaders. Mahaprabhu is willing to fund that program for two years. A detailed proposal will be delivered at the ELM 2012 in Simhacalam.

Pay-back procedure of the loan taken by ISKCON Germany from New Mayapur

The latest arrangement is that Mahaprabhu dasa is going to transfer a donation of +/- 8000 Euros to the German Yatra. Dina Sharana promised that they would give this amount immediately to New Mayapur against their debt. In other words, that amount will be transferred at the beginning of June to the New Mayapur account. The balance owed to New Mayapur will be paid with monthly installments of 108 Euros.

  • ISKCON GA will transfer 8,000 Euro (as soon as Mahaprabhu’s donation reaches the ISKCON GA account)
  • ISKCON GA will make a monthly payment of 108 Euro until the balance of 3,888 Euro is paid.
